About Us

Custom Write is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains about forty miles north of Atlanta in a small community called "Toonigh".

I have been doing wood work for about twenty-four years. I started out building cabinets and furniture. My Dad (Jack) and I got into building musical instruments guitars, mandolins and dulcimers in 2001. I was able to build my own small shop about five years ago, where I continue to enjoy wood working of all kinds. I also get to spend a lot of time with Dad doing things we both enjoy. I started wood turning for the enjoyment and loved it. I decided to make writing instruments as a small business due to the overwhelming response from people who received them as gifts. I have been turning pens for just over five years and continue to learn new techniques which result in outstanding writing instruments.
